Artist's Statement

“My style - Colourist / Post- Minimalism, pairs down the paintings to bare essentials and aims to move the viewer in a subjective way. My work is underpinned with references to landscape and sea, changing weather patterns architecture and memory. Issues such as intent often lose their importance, particularly when “the accidental” or the unexpected occurs and allows the work to express the evolution of a vision. The paintings themselves, are an experience which undergo a process of transformation sometimes, over a long period.”

In my career, I have been influenced by such artists as: Marden, Diebenkorn, Sculley, Pollock.
